We are what we eat: how to eat well and feel better!

We have no excuses!

We can really decide whether to make food our ally of our well-being or not. Because every journey starts from a small step but above all the sense of the journey is the sense of the path. Every moment of our life is made of choices and every choice we make contributes to our daily well-being. A balanced set of choices makes our life balanced.

We have chosen to elect extra virgin olive oil as the king of our well-being on the table because it is absolutely the best and most balanced vegetable fat and rich in positive nutrients that exists. Then it's good and fun.

The oil’s main antioxidants include the anti-inflammatory oleocanthal, as well as oleuropein, a substance that protects LDL (bad) cholesterol from oxidation. Also, Evo Oil contains modest amounts of vitamins E and K and plenty of beneficial fatty acids (ex. Oleic acid). It’s the most important fatty acid in Olive Oil and has been found to reduce inflammatory markers.

Also, one study showed that substances in olive oil can reduce the expression of genes and proteins that mediate inflammation, can help prevent unwanted blood clotting, a key feature of heart attacks and strokes and reduce blood pressure significantly. Given the biological effects of olive oil, it’s not surprising that people who consume the greatest amounts of it are significantly less likely to die from heart attacks and strokes.

Many people believe that it is not a good idea to cook with extra virgin olive oil. Several scientific studies have proven over the years that this myth is simply untrue. Not only is EVOO safe to cook with, but it is the most stable and safest cooking oil available.

A recent Australian study published by Modern Olives Laboratory Services in the ACTA Scientific Nutritional Health Journal found that extra virgin olive oil is the most stable cooking oil. The EVOO was tested against virgin olive oil, refined olive oil, canola oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, peanut oil, rice bran oil and sunflower oil.

Every week we will reveal why!
